The following kits are only available for checkout from Extension and 4-H staff.
Reservation must be submitted 1 week before the designated pick up date.
The State 4-H Office has a total of 30 GPS units which can be checked out in groups
of 10. GPS units are a great "learn by doing" resource. Check out our GPS page with
information on our GPS program. In addition to checking out our GPS Units, there are
several teaching resources available to leaders.

A case of 10 iPad Mini Labs that can be used in a variety of 4-H learning experiences
is now available. Film production, online surveys, and a variety of learning apps
are potential uses for this lab.

LaunchGuard System: The Classroom-Caliber Solid-Fuel Rocket Launcher
Safety is a concern of any educator who builds and launches solid-fuel rockets. The LaunchGuard System provides a safe and reliable means of launching model rockets.
Students launch rockets by pressing a button on the Launch Module. Before they can launch, a button is pressed and held on a separate box called the Supervisor Module. When the supervisor (or teacher) presses the button, the system is live and the student can launch. Or the teacher can substitute a special “launch key” for the Supervisor Module. When the key is plugged into the student’s Launch Module, the system is live and ready for launch.
The launchpad is made from sturdy plastic, has an adjustable launch rod, and comes with the standard 1/8" diameter x 31" rod. It also accepts a 3/16" diameter x 31" rod for larger rockets (3/16" rod sold separately). The modules are made of rugged aluminum. The Supervisor Module uses six AA batteries (included) and has a 15-foot cord to keep students at a safe distance.
Also includes: 10 Rocket Fin Holders and 10 plastic tubes for making rocket bodies.

This set contains a brick assortment for exploring design engineering with more advanced
mechanisms, structures, and forces.
Lego Story Starter Kit
The StoryStarter Core Set contains enough elements to build a five scene story. A supporting curriculum pack offers “getting started” tasks and hands-on classroom activities covering a range of topics.
Using a variety of creative writing templates, the accompanying Story Visualizer software helps students to document and share their stories. An eLearning program is also included, and provides video lessons and software tutorials to help teachers become confident users of the StoryStarter Core Set.

The Lego Wedo Robotic kits are a great new kit design for younger elementary students.
They will provide a great hands-on learning experience to actively engage children's
creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

The Lego Education Wedo Robotics Construction Set is an easy-to-use set that introduces young students to robotics when combined with the Lego Education Wedo Robotics Software v.1.2.
