Scholarships

Utah 4-H offers a variety of scholarships to 4-H members to help offset the cost of attending college.  Each year the amount and number of scholarships depends on the availablility of funds and the status of the applicant pool.  Click on a link below to navigate to the scholarship descriptions to find out if you qualify to apply.  If you have any questions, please contact the Utah 4-H Office

Remember, keeping track of your 4-H involvement and achievement with the 4-H portfolio is a great way to prepare you for scholarship applications!  Portfolios are now required for scholarship applications.  See the portfolio page for more information.

*Please note that students are only eligible for one State 4-H Scholarship at any one time (including State Ambassador scholarships), with the exception of the Utah State 4-H Horse Council Scholarship.

NOTE: The Utah State 4-H Office reserves the right not to award, and to alter any of the
said scholarships based on fund availability and status of the applicant pool.

 

$2,200 ($1,100 per semester) scholarship for tuition, student fees, etc. for 1 year (2 semesters) at Utah State University in Logan.

 

$500 ($250 per semester) scholarship to be used toward the cost of tuition at Utah State University in Logan.

$500 ($250 per semester) scholarship to be used toward the cost of tuition at Utah State University in Logan.

 

$400 ($200 per semester) scholarship to be used toward the cost of tuition at Utah State University in Logan.

$250 scholarship to be used toward the cost of tuition at Utah State University in Logan.

 

Up to $5000 based on available funding and number of applicants. Scholarships for tuition, student fees, etc. at any accredited school.

This scholarship seeks students who are "diamonds in the rough," or students who show great promise and financial need.

Attention: 4-H portfolios are required with scholarship application to give a better understanding of all 4-H experiences.

Scholarship applications are DUE FEBRUARY 15th.  You must be a UTAH RESIDENT!  All scholarships must be used at USU on the Logan Campus, except for the 4-H Horse Council scholarship, which can be used at any accredited school.

Deferment

 In order to comply with Utah State University scholarship standards, Utah 4-H will allow students who have been fully accepted and enrolled into the University to defer their 4-H scholarship. Students must present a letter to the State 4-H Office explaining their reason for deferral and giving an approximate date of return along with a copy of the official letter of deferment from the Admissions Office.  All who do not follow these guidelines when deferring will forfeit their award.
