Outdoor Adventure 1 - Hiking Trails

Camping Adventures focuses on hiking for a day. It will include clothing needs; what to pack in a daypack; reading topographic maps and orienteering skills. (c 2004)

Backpacking Expeditions focuses on being out on the trail for an extended period of time. It will include clothing nees; setting up tents; using backcountry stoves; basic nutrtional needs; menu planning for multi-day hikes' personal hygiene and basic first aid. (c 2004)

Enables helpers to facilitate the teaching of the ucrriculum. Utlizing the experiential learning model, the guide targets technical, organizational, problem solving, safety and communication skills. Activities include risk management, trip planning, heal. (c 2004)
