Youth Leadership

A great component of 4-H is youth leadership. Holding a 4-H club meeting during afterschool time can teach youth great leadership skills as they learn to conduct a meeting, follow through with responsibilities, and develop public speaking skills.

The following link contains a possible agenda for a club meeting as well as a list of youth leadership responsibilities .

The 4-H Club Meeting Cards list the officers needed to conduct a 4-H Club Meeting. Print and cut out the front of club meeting cards and paste them on 4-H green paper. Print and cut the back of club meeting cards and place it on the back of the green tag. Laminate and put yarn around them and these cards can be worn by potential partners or 4-H Leaders during trainings. These 4-H Club Meeting Cards can be worn by youth, potential 4-H leaders, and potential partners. The participants will learn how to conduct a 4-H Club Meeting experientially.
